L’IndiFest - Barcelona Indigenous Cinema Festival celebrates its 15th edition in Guany, dedicated to indigenous languages. Along with the screening of Wiñaypacha, a classic film from the Peruvian cinema and the first fiction feature film in the Aymara language, l'IndiFest inaugurates the activities at the festival's voltant that will be held in October.
Wiñaypacha is the story of Wilka and Phaxsi, an elderly couple over eighty years old who live abandoned in a remote place in the Peruvian Andes, at an altitude of more than five thousand meters. They face misery and the inclemency of time, praying to their gods that their only son will finally come to rescue them.
