During the months of July and August, we recover the complete filmography as director of the author of landmarks of independent cinema such as "Faces", "Shadows" or "Premiere Night".
Throughout his life, Cassavetes combined his acting jobs (in many cases purely for food) with the relentless search for new forms of cinematic expression that would stray further from the mark of Holly's major studies wood, with whom he kept a stormy relationship.
Loyal to a group of performers with whom he built his artistic family, with Gena Rowlands, Peter Falk and Ben Gazzara at the head, returning today to Cassavetes is returning to a filmmaker who spills, in the words of critic Thierry Jousse, “a vit energy to exceptional, a way to blur the borders between life and films, an existence statement that transcends cinema.
