25 YEARS WITH SPAIN
From the most recalcitrant Buenos Aires underground to their consecration by filling the River Plate stadium in 2007. They became notable, among other things, for being one of the first bands to combine rock with Latin American rhythms—such as cumbia, tango, murga, reggae, chacarera, and candombe—and lyrics laden with criticism of the political system and society.
In addition to finding success in Argentina, BERSUIT attracted audiences from all over Latin America, as well as from Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Japan, among others.
BERSUIT has released 15 albums to date, with "Cocoliche Life" (2024) being their latest release.
In 2000, they performed at the legendary Festimad in Madrid, and the BERSUIT-ESPAÑA romance began, which would last forever. They've even composed several songs "with Spain," such as the superhit "La del toro" and "Convalescencia en Valencia," among others.
Songs like "El estallido," "Sr Cobranza," "La petisita culona," and "Yo tomo," among others, have become "anthems" of the Spanish progressive underground over the past 20 years. "La Bolsa" stands out, and has been covered numerous times by local artists and orchestras.
They've collaborated on some really cool shows with great local artists like La Pegatina, Ilegales, Eskorzo, Arco, Pipi (formerly SkaP), Shinova, Calamaro, El Puchero del Hortelano, and others.
BERSUIT is the Argentine band (of those not based in Europe) that has toured the most in Spain, with around 20 tours in 25 years, around 240 shows in more than 40 cities across Spain. They have been pioneers in bridging the cultural divide between the two countries, even before the influx of Argentines into Europe had become widespread.
For all these reasons, the "25 Years with Spain" tour will be a milestone in Ibero-American culture.
Doors open at 9 p.m. / Start at 9:30 p.m.
