ACOUSTIC END-OF-TOUR CONCERT
In "Un lugar perfecto," Depedro (Jairo Zavala) releases his most intimate and ambitious album, a work that travels along the margins of the soul like someone taking a back road to find themselves. It's not just an album: it's an emotional map where nostalgia, hope, everyday dignity, and memory become a sonic territory.
From the opening desert blues of the title track—charged with Latin American roots and a global vision, thanks to Gustavo Guerrero's production—Zavala immerses us in a journey where each song is a vital station. La Gloria revalues the heroism of everyday life, while La Siembra and Ojalá el amor nos salve plant awareness in rhythms of bachata, funk, and folklore. Memory and emotion weave the story.
In Choreography and Ability, the influence of his beginnings with Vacazul and learning from mistakes emerge, while pieces like The Leather-Skinned Boy and Fable of Difference engage with African American roots and the need to integrate diversity. Each song opens a path where the poetic and the political meet without fanfare, with humanity as its banner.
Zavala sings from fragility and tenderness, without forgetting that love, like memory, demands work and the renunciation of ego. In the fog of forgetting or the clarity of reunion, this album embraces the small to speak of the great: the possibility of remaining human in a world that pushes us toward forgetting.
A Perfect Place is not just an album: it is an emotional manifesto, a musical pilgrimage that invites us to remember that we can still reconnect with life, with each other, with ourselves. Like mountains that embrace each other between the Sierra and the Andes, Depedro finds utopia on the border.
Opening 9:30 p.m. / Start 10 p.m.
