MICAH P. HINSON

Description

Micah P. Hinson was born to a family of fundamentalist Catholics in sinful Memphis and grew up in evangelical Abilene. Even before his twenties, Micah had already experienced the effects of music and drugs. His 2003 debut album has since been followed by three albums of previously unreleased tracks and one of covers, leading up to his most recent work in 2018, recorded in one day, somewhere in Texas, with the meticulousness of a wanderer, in the reverberating light of his visions. In the early 2020s, after releasing ten critically acclaimed albums and building a solid international fan base, Micah P. Hinson nearly abandoned his musical career, which he resumed during the pandemic, as the artist used his free time to reflect and recalibrate.
