Description

Since forming in Madrid in 2007, Toundra has forged a unique path in European instrumental music, proving that the absence of vocals is no barrier. Following a self-titled debut that quickly gained traction in the underground scene, the band embarked on a trajectory of steady growth that led them to perform on the continent's main stages and at its festivals.

Over nearly two decades, they have evolved without losing their essence through their numbered phases (II, III, and IV) and redefined their sound with Vortex (2018) and HEX (2022). Their creative universe has expanded beyond conventional studio albums, from the narrative ambition of the soundtrack for the silent film classic "Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari" to their acclaimed foray into flamenco and rock with Niño de Elche in the Exquirla project. Toundra has demonstrated an inexhaustible artistic restlessness, moving with ease between post-rock, progressive rock, and metal.

In 2026, Toundra inaugurated its most personal and daring phase with its new LP, "Siete." Coinciding with the addition of Jorge García on guitars and synthesizers, the band opted for self-releasing and complete self-management. This return to independence allowed the group to explore a freer sound, where their characteristic monolithic punch merges with a more prominent use of analog electronics and synthetic textures.
