HAYAO MIYAZAKI, 2008, JAPAN SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2026 One day, while playing on the beach, Sosuke finds a goldfish trapped in a glass jar, whom he names Ponyo. They become friends, but Ponyo's father, Fujimoto, a sorcerer from the depths of the ocean, doesn't want his son to live among humans. However, he is no ordinary fish: he longs to become human, even if it means disrupting the balance of the world.
