Elemental Energy

Four choreographies for four moments of dance, each one based on one of the four elements of nature. It is a production by Gauthier Dance, the company founded and led by Eric Gauthier at the Theaterhaus for nearly 20 years. A numerical proposal such as the seven different choreographies he put together for “The Seven Sins” in 2022. With ELEMENTS he maintains a spirit of collaborating with some of the most renowned choreographers of our times to amaze the audience with each new production.

Among the most assiduous is Mauro Bigonzetti whose neoclassical piece is for the element Earth. Sharon Eyal, who was part of the Batsheva Dance Company, composes a choreography for Fire that is hypnotic, rhythmical and relentless. Andonis Foniadakis’s approach to Water is organic, kinetic and masterful. Finally, Louise Lecavalier maintains her non-conformist aura in Air, as evocative and groundbreaking as its creator.

Four distinct artistic worlds in the same show. This is the first time the troupe of Eric Gauthier performs at the Teatro de la Maestranza. Without doubt, it is an exceptional opportunity for both seasoned admirers and those who want to engage for the first time in the world of contemporary dance, one that is so versatile and visually attractive.
