Both have come together on this visit to make this great character known and bring poetry to the youngest. The dramatized visits take place in the 1920s through two characters: Antonio Machado and Josefina Brühl, a young foreign journalist fascinated with the history of the Casa de las Dueñas.
The Young journalist will accompany the attendees to discover the palace, playing fun games and participatory dynamics where they will discover all the secrets, anecdotes and stories of the house. Antonio Machado, will walk through the gardens of the house, accompany them to the Patio del Limonero, and there he will tell them his life story, reading some of his poems and will carry out a participatory poetry workshop on the theme of nature and the gardens.
The poems will be hung in the lemon trees in the courtyard so that they can be read by all visitors. In addition, after carrying out the activity, participants will be able to stay freely, and as long as they wish, in the palace. "We want to bring the figure of Antonio Machado closer to the little ones on the centenary of his birth here in Dueñas and thus have contact with the art of poetry from a different and fun environment," says Ricardo Gascó, manager of the cultural space of The Dueñas. * The number of actors will depend on the number of people who attend the visit.
