Description

The city of Seville was a Muslim city for five and a half centuries, called Isbiliya. From the year 711 to 1248 the city underwent a process of Islamization, and again after the Christian conquest of 1248 it underwent a new process of Christianization.

On this cultural route you will be able to see the visible traces of the two great periods into which we can divide the Islamic stage of Seville. From the Muslim conquest in 711 to the year 1147 (year of the occupation of the city by the Almohads), and from 1147 to 1248, the century in which Isbiliya was dominated by the Almohads and became the unquestionable capital of Al-Andalus and from this part of the Almohad Empire. Stage in which the current historic center of the city that we see today is created.

With GuiArte, discover the most important remains of one of the most important periods in the history of the city. You will know where their mosques, alcaicerías, walls, gates, palaces, fortresses, baths, bridges, etc. were located.

All this in an attractive way and for all audiences.
