Alice's Worlds: Dreaming of Wonderland
April 16 - October 12, 2026. 160 years after Lewis Carroll wrote Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, this story and its protagonist have become part of the collective imagination of multiple generations.
This is the first exhibition to offer a comprehensive view of the impact of the books featuring Alice.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll, written in 1865, is a cultural phenomenon. Translated into more than 170 languages, it continues to be printed and remains part of the collective imagination. The reach of its influence spans generations, artists, and disciplines: fashion, theater, film, photography, and science.
The exhibition offers various answers to why a Victorian character is so significant, the culture that influenced her writing, and how the themes and ideas she explores remain relevant today. The exhibition incorporates a playful dimension and a space for reflection, facilitating a dialogue between Alice's world and our own. A journey divided into five sections—The Invention of Alice, Through the Screen, Alice, Door to Other Worlds, Alice on Stage, and Becoming Alice—follows our heroine's adventure.
