Description
October 17, 2025 - March 1, 2026. Patagonia has provided the best dinosaur record in the Southern Hemisphere. Here, paleontologists, reading the rocks, have unveiled fascinating stories of the past.
“Dinosaurs of Patagonia” is not just another dinosaur exhibit. It is a deep dive into the paleontological work involved in reading the secrets of the rocks.
“A DINOSAUR OUT OF CONTEXT IS LIKE A CHARACTER WITHOUT A STORY. WORSE, A CHARACTER SUFFERING FROM AMNESIA.”
JACK HORNER, PALEONTOLOGIST
The history of the Earth is written in the rocks, and paleontologists spend much of their lives learning to read these stories of the planet’s natural past. The intense days on paleontological expeditions are filled with challenges, excitement, and discoveries. But when the sun sets, the team gathers around the campfire for a comforting meal, to chat, or to review the notes and photos taken that day. Sometimes they even celebrate a major discovery with great excitement.
“Dinosaurs of Patagonia” is a journey through the work of paleontologists, revealing how science works and how paleontologists reconstruct the past, while showcasing replicas of the skeletons of the most important dinosaurs found in this region and their original fossils. The star of the exhibition is a replica of a thirty-meter-long Patagotitan mayorum specimen. A titan of Patagonia that will leave no one indifferent.
