Description
Travel between the classical and the modern with this MuBAV exhibition.
The Garden of Livia, the wife of Emperor Augustus, comes to Valencia in a must-see version from May 15 to August 31, 2025!
Santiago Ydáñez, one of the most renowned artists of recent decades, brings to Spain for the first time his complete work "House of Livia," created during his time at the Spanish Academy in Rome.
What's so special about it? Well, Ydáñez was inspired by the original frescoes of the House of Livia, discovered in 1863, and added his personal touch.
These works, considered one of the jewels of Roman mural painting, become something completely new, thanks to the blend of classical tradition and Santiago's renewed style.
The installation unites the magic of a Roman garden with autobiographical details and Ydáñez's characteristic gestural and photographic brushwork.
The result is a visual experience that will take you to a place somewhere between reality and fiction.
Don't miss the opportunity to experience this fusion of classic and modern in the Ribalta Room of the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia. Be amazed!
