What happens in theaters when the ghost light is turned on and the doors are closed? Ghost light in theater is called that light that remains on even when the public has left the theater. Its meaning has a superstitious point that is to illuminate the ghosts that inhabit each theater. The emblematic Melponeme Theater closes its doors after 120 years of exhibition. A fire more than a decade ago deteriorated its structure, and the few investments in maintenance and conservation have led to making this tough decision. That night the fire caused the company and the audience to perish, leaving their souls locked up in the theater forever. Since then and every night, when the last worker turns on the ghost light and closes the doors of the theater, they take the opportunity to put on their show, their great musical. But tonight will be special because the theater closes forever and no one is going to bother them again.
