They put the wings on. They have to design and build a human-powered device that allows them to fly after launching from a 9-meter-high platform.

The distance record is 78.6 meters, achieved in California by "The Chicken Whisperers."

Although the team, to be the winner, will not only be judged by the flight distance, but also by the creativity of its work and the performance it presents before jumping.

35 teams of 4 or 5 people participate, one of them having to jump into the void with his pot. This machine must not exceed the established dimensions, 9 meters high by 10 wide, and it cannot weigh more than 200 kilos, including the pilot.

They must all be made completely homemade; Yes, with the themes that the participants want.

They are normally very elaborate and varied; from taking a movie character as a reference to honoring the characteristics of the team's place of origin. Whatever they want!

The jury in charge of evaluating these gadgets, the jump and the show will be four elite athletes, who from 1 to 10 will evaluate each of them fairly.

Thus, the “Red Bull Day of the Wings”, a competitive event with 12 years of experience with almost 10,000 participants and more than 10 million spectators around the world, has 179 editions.

Since the first, it has been organized in 99 cities and in Valencia we are now in its third edition, which will be on June 1, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the Marina, a perfect setting for this celebration.
