Family: Scientific Illustration Workshop. Insects
Saturday, February 14, 2026. What do insects have in common? What details should we focus on to get to know them better? Entomology is the science that studies insects: their biology, anatomy, colors, shapes, and the important roles they play in nature.
In this family workshop, with the dragonfly as our star, we will discover all these aspects while learning to observe and draw carefully. We will discuss the importance of scientific illustration and why it remains so useful today. Through the stippling technique, you will learn the keys to accurately and meticulously representing a dragonfly.
We will complete various exercises that will culminate in the creation of a descriptive illustration showing the shapes, colors, and characteristics of these small and amazing creatures.
No prior scientific or drawing knowledge is required.
