NIGHT SKY WALK - SUNSET & FULL MOON RISE (CALA LLONGA)

A stony dirt road is winding up to the cape and we will stop now and then to catch our breath and listen to the amazing story of the moon’s violent origin. We will also look at the ruins of an ancient settlement and hear about the importance of the moon as our calendar. On top of the cape at the temple of Bes we are overlooking the entire island and watch the sunset! After Etienne talked about presence and future of the moon we will see the full moon rising from the sea.

Please bring a torch, as we’ll be walking back after sunset.

Approx. 6 kms and about 2.5 hours. With a good climb to the top on good paths but with loose stones underfoot.
