*Glass Bottom Ferry* explores the complex borderlands of three European enclaves situated on African territory: Ceuta, Melilla, and the Canary Islands. The film delves into the gap that both connects and separates Africa and Europe, searching for the wreckage and ghosts left by the sinking of the utopias that have flourished on both sides: Europe as a promised land for the dispossessed South, and Africa as an idyllic paradise for a North hungry for the exotic.
