A millionaire recklessly causes the death of a doctor. As compensation to her widow, he remains attached to her, which makes love blossom between them. "My immediate reaction to Obsession was bewilderment and discouragement. But still, I was drawn to something irrational about her. Something crazy, in a way; well, obsessed, because this is a crazy story like little. The blindness of the woman. The general irony; not irony in the usual sense of the word, but as a structural element of antinomy. Dr. Phillips, the husband of this holy woman, dies so that another may live.
