Direct Notes is configured as a laboratory-meeting rooted in collective creation, music, space and the transformative possibilities of dance. The starting point is experimentation with the residual movement of each body activated by the search for common resonances in some small samples of previous works by the La Basal collective. When these works come into contact, they are transformed and acquire a new dimension, an essence that unites them and that stimulates their own creators in a new and unknown way, thanks to the presence of that public and no other.

The proposal is to stage a continuous and joint action, in which the music, the basal movements, the game and the space direct the dramaturgy. The five creators and performers (Rocío Barriga, Claudia Bosch, Aurora Costanza, Luna Sánchez, Sergio R. Suárez) respond through their bodies, using the CentroCentro space and the music to weave a festive atmosphere that involves the public in the performance. . They generate an interaction between the living arts, creation and citizenship, provoking an ephemeral but collectively significant experience.

La Basal was built in 2019 as a platform for creation and innovation, in which choreographic work is essential to develop and generate a collective discourse. Within the different productions that it carries out, it delves into issues that move them as women, young people and artists, such as identity, tradition, historical memory, gender, the transience of time or instability. Since its inception they have traveled to different festivals and theaters on the Spanish scene such as the Cádiz en Danza Festival, Ahora Danza (Cicus, Seville), Huellas (Aracena, Huelva), 10Sentidos Festival (Valencia), SóloDos en Danza (Ourense), Sala Orive ( Córdoba), Pla Roig (Barcelona), Teatro Pradillo (Madrid), among others. Its main work is the creation and promotion of artistic content, as well as mediation and training work between and with different groups, and collaborative work with other cultural entities from various artistic disciplines.
