Description

The Lucy Prebble Effect

Are you in love or just experiencing a dopamine rush? Is there a difference? Is your true self somehow distinct from your brain's neurochemistry? These are the questions Connie and Tristan ask themselves when they discover they're in love. The problem is, they don't know if the connection they feel is real or the effect of a new antidepressant. They are two volunteers in a clinical drug trial, and their romance creates alarming dilemmas for their supervising doctors.

A play by Lucy Prebble (creator of the series Succession) and directed by Juan Carlos Ficher (Prima Facie), starring Alicia Borrachero, Fran Perea, Itzan Escamilla, and Elena Rivera, returns to Madrid after a sold-out run at the Teatros Canal. A funny and tender play that explores provocative ideas and raises profound dilemmas.
