Matadero Madrid is a contemporary creation center located in the old slaughterhouse and cattle market of the city of Madrid. Inaugurated in 2006 as a cultural center, it develops in its different warehouses an extensive program that includes exhibitions, theater, festivals, live music, cinema and audiovisual projects, conferences, conversations and workshops, residencies for artists, educational programs and activities for families. It is a living place for the enjoyment of culture, for artistic experimentation and for the debate of ideas in the fields of visual, performing and performative arts, design, literature, digital culture, architecture and many other creative practices.
