Description
Four choreographies for four dance moments, each based on one of the four elements of nature. This is the new show by Canadian artist Eric Gauthier, who has led his own company at the Theaterhaus for over ten years. A numerical proposition, like the one he dedicated to the seven deadly sins. With ELEMENTS, he maintains his spirit of collaboration with some of the best choreographers of our time to surprise audiences with each new show.
Among the most frequent collaborators are Mauro Bigonzetti, who bases his neoclassical choreography on the element of Earth. Sharon Eyal, formerly of the Batsheva company, uses Fire to compose a hypnotic, rhythmic, and relentless choreography. Andonis Foniadakis builds his organic, kinetic, and virtuosic piece on Water. Finally, Louise Lecavalier maintains her nonconformist aura, dedicating to Wind a choreography as fluid and groundbreaking as the creator herself. Four different artistic worlds presented in a single performance. This is the first time Eric Gauthier's company has performed at the Teatro de la Maestranza. Undoubtedly, an exceptional opportunity that will be seized by seasoned fans and those wishing to delve for the first time into the versatile and visually captivating world of contemporary dance.
