Guided Tour: [REC]UERDOS

July 8, 2026 – January 31, 2027. Why do we film ourselves? What do home movies reveal about us? The exhibition *[REC]UERDOS. Life Through Home Movies* explores various historical and contemporary aspects of home cinema. Its goal is to highlight the significance of this practice throughout history and to showcase the methods, equipment, purposes, and uses of home movies up to the present day, thereby raising awareness about the need for their preservation.

During this guided tour, we will delve into the concept of home cinema, examining its technological evolution and the key themes depicted over time. We will also discover practices involving the appropriation and use of home movies in audiovisual creation, as well as the evolution of family home movies within contemporary visual culture—specifically in relation to the Internet and social media.
