Description

San Luis de los Franceses, consecrated in 1731, became the best exponent of the Baroque in Seville.

Unknown to the vast majority of Sevillians, it has reopened after 10 years closed to the public. It is an outstanding 18th century Baroque architectural ensemble.

It was designed by the architect Leonardo de Figueroa and built between 1699 and 1731 commissioned by the Society of Jesus. The temple was named "San Luis de los Franceses", in homage to San Luis, King of France and cousin of King San Fernando. Meet with GuiArte three different spaces within the same complex such as the temple itself, the domestic chapel and the crypt.

Thanks to GuiArte you have the possibility to visit and get to know this wonderful Jesuit temple, unique in Seville and quite possibly one of the best examples of Baroque architecture in all of Andalusia. Includes Guided Visit and entrance to the Monument
