The autumn season will start strong in 2021 with the performance in Valencia of the Basque group with the most hype on the scene; We refer to the Chill Mafia, a multidisciplinary artistic collective originally from Iruña. What began as a gang of colleagues making music to pass the time has become one of the most interesting projects on the Spanish underground scene, due to its versatility, its philosophy and above all the quality of its work. Chill Mafia as a musical group is made up of 6 people, some of whom had already had contact with the world of music prior to this project: Ben Yart, who has been active since 2014 and has presented a single with La Vendición; Kiliki Frexko, who had been part of other local groups; Suneo and Martin as producers and FlakoFonki and Irene as vocalists. With just one album (Ezorregatik X Berpizkundea) and a couple of singles (Kolakao and Bedeinkatua), the iruindarras have managed to viralize some of their songs on YouTube and gain a good base of monthly listeners on Spotify, in addition to building a fresh and honest, that oscillates between the raver, the rag and the txapela. But the most impressive thing about their brief musical career is the versatility they have shown, concentrating in just twelve published songs a good handful of very heterogeneous stylistic references: trap, dub, reggae, pop, punk, reggaeton…; the kids have dared with everything, and the repercussion they have reached throughout the Spanish state (despite singing in Basque, which is always an obstacle to opening borders) is proof of how well they are doing things. His show in Valencia will take place on Friday, September 17 at Loco Club, and it promises to be a big party, so if you don't want to miss it, buy the tickets now, they are going to fly.
