FOREVER is the third album by the VANDOLIERS, a powerful Texan sextet that mixes rock, punk, country, and "ensemble music" in a devastating way, at the forefront of the new wave of lone star state music with its mix of tradition and modernity. Formed in 2015, the VANDOLIERS are the band of singer and guitarist JOSHUA FLEMING, Dustin Fleming (no, they are not related) on the other guitar, bassist Mark Moncrieff, drummer Guyton Sanders, violinist Travis Curry, and multi-instrumentalist Cory Graves. His first two albums "Ameri-Kinda" (2016) and The Native (2017) were released on the State Fair Records label and the new one, entitled "Vandoliers Forever", is already for the Chicago label. BLOODSHOT RECORDS. "Vandoliers Forever" is produced by Adam Hill at the legendary American Studios in Memphis. Being his countryman RHETT MILLER one of his mentors, it is not difficult to imagine that his band, the OLD 97's, is one of the references of the Vandoliers, as are bands of "countrified" rock from thirty years ago like JASON & THE SCORCHERS, or TRUE BELIEVERS, and other more rockers like SOCIAL DISTORTION and even THE CLASH. If the Pogues were from Texas they would sound similar to the Vandoliers. Americana Highways Josh Fleming and company have brilliantly combined country, punk, Texan and rockabilly influences to create a dynamic and modern cowpunk Noisey. A cowpunk sextet that takes punk and ska influences and dresses them up with acoustic guitars, brass, and violin for a full-throttle journey through the heart of Texas.
