Exhibition ¡Viva Berlanga!

H1 2021 is the Year of Berlanga.

This is what his hometown has decided to mark the centenary of the birth of this incomparable filmmaker, possibly the last of the illustrated artists.

And to begin the celebration of this very special birthday, the Museu València de la Il-lustració i de la Modernitat hosts the exhibition «Viva Berlanga! A history of cinema ».

A tribute to those who knew how to portray the history of recent Spain in a very personal way that includes an extensive review of his filmography and the artistic legacy that is still recognized internationally today.

In the exhibition you can also see dozens of posters of his films and publications that served as dissemination material for his works between the 50s and 90s of the 20th century.

The sample is completed by objects as disparate and as Berlanguianos as a tractor, a motorcycle, cameras, photographs and even objects that show the relationship of the filmmaker with the world of the Fallas.
