Sagunto celebrates the 39th edition of the festival "Sagunto a escena"

It is already known that August in the Mediterranean is synonymous with beach, yes. Even so, there is a cultural plan for summer nights that you cannot refuse. From the 4th to the 28th of August, Sagunto puts on its legendary festival "Sagunto a escena", in which plays of theatre, music, dance and circus invade the Teatro Romano and other spaces in the city. This year it celebrates its XXXIX edition with a multidisciplinary program that combines international shows with Valencian productions.

Through them, the festival invites the public to discover the wonders of the classics and the contemporary and the beauty of the scenic language.

The impressive Teatro Romano hosts eight of the festival's proposals, among which are plays such as "Júlia" or "Safo"; shows like "Tocororo Suite" or "Secretos de alcoba" or the performance of musicians like José Mercé. On the other hand, "Off Romà" is the section that takes over the squares, streets and parks of Sagunto to offer free shows for the public. With performances such as "Perseverance", "#Sueña", "Peus dalt" or "Water falls", theatre, dance and circus become the protagonists of this part of the festival.
