"Les Arts Volant": the traveling opera that runs through Valencia

AREA: Surroundings "Les Arts Volant" is a cultural dissemination project that was born to make the wonderful world of opera visible and itinerant. The goal is for the music to reach different corners of the city of Valencia so that residents, tourists and fans can enjoy this art without having to travel.

How have they achieved it? Creating a large truck that transforms into a stage. Yes, yes, as you read it. With this peculiar invention, the theater company travels to the chosen square and, later, offers a live opera for all audiences and free access.

This year, "Les Arts Volant" wanted to pay tribute to Vicente Martín i Soler, one of the most universal Valencian composers.

For this reason, the title selected for the traveling format of Les Arts has been "El tutor burlat": a friendly, sweet and somewhat mischievous comedy in which, with the landscape of the Roman countryside in the background, the author criticizes the social norms of mid-XVIII century, and defends freedom and love above all else.
