The Absences cycle, curated by Desclasificados, invokes and summons current music artists and programs that are related to what is not heard.

Since its inception, music has tried to give voice to the least heard and also to forgotten or silenced sounds, but they are not usually common in concert halls. With these absent voices we want to help balance that balance with repertoires and works that revolve around the unheard, the forgotten, both in a musical, philosophical and political sense.

Vanessa Porter is one of the most versatile percussionists internationally and she is called upon for projects with concert formats and various programs.

As a soloist she combines more standard works with improvisation, electronics and performing arts and she stands out for her ability to create diverse and unique sound spaces. In 2023 he will perform with his current program Folie à deux as ECHO (European Concert Hall Organization) soloist in the most renowned European concert halls, such as Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Barbican Center London, Philharmonie Paris, L'Auditori Barcelona, ​​ and many more.

She collaborates with renowned composers and groups such as Georges Aperghis, Jennifer Walshe or Simon Steen-Andersen; Ensemble Modern, Ascolta Ensemble and Les Percussions de Strasbourg.
