Kang Daniel

Description

Kang Daniel is a South Korean singer-songwriter, dancer, presenter, model, and businessman. In early 2017, he rose to fame for winning first place on Produce 101 Season 2 and for being part of the project group Wanna One (2017-2019). Following the culmination of Wanna One's activities as a group, Daniel took a six-month hiatus from the entertainment industry, before fully retaking the reins of his career.

In mid-2019, he released his first solo EP, Color on Me, which was a commercial success that debuted at number one on the South Korean Gaon Album Chart. His subsequent releases as part of his color series, titled Cyan (2020) and Magenta (2020) also ranked first on the Gaon Album Chart; the latter's title track “Who U Are” earned the singer his first top ten on the Gaon Digital Chart (Billboard Hot 100 equivalent).

Expanding his career as a solo artist, Kang Daniel scored his first digital top five in Korea, as well as his first foray as a solo artist on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart, with the single “Paranoia.” He then released the third and final EP of his “color trilogy”, Yellow (2021), which debuted at number one on the Gaon Album Chart and gave him his first number one on the Gaon Digital Chart, with the single titled “ antidote
