Description

Morat is an original folk pop quartet from the Colombian city of Bogotá. The group is made up of Juan Pablo Villamil (banjo, guitar and vocals), Juan Pablo Isaza (keyboard, guitar and vocals), Alejandro Posada (percussion and vocals) and Simón Vargas Morales (bass, guitar and vocals).

All the members of Morat have known each other since they were five years old and while they were in full musical training they already began to play together. In 2015 they decided to get together. The name of the band has its origin in that of the house where the band carried out its first rehearsals, "La Morat".

The collaboration they did with Paulina Rubio for the song My new vice launched them to fame and they managed to get a Digital Platinum Record. At the end of 2015 they released their single How dare you, which has become number 1 on iTunes Spain.

Among his most current collaborations, names of artists such as Juanes, Aitana, Cali y el Dandee or Antonio Carmona stand out. With their latest album, the band intends to create a "more mature" project, while continuing to sing about love.
