Tribueñe Primavera Blues< is the achievement of a succession of previous concerts of this genre that, with their success, make our theater bet on this genre full of depth, feeling, improvisation and virtuosity. For this we wanted to count on the invaluable collaboration of the Madrid Blues Society, with whom the experiences around the blues take on a special dimension, as has been demonstrated in the two editions of "Mujeres del Blues" that this already veteran association celebrated in Tribueñe.
Without a doubt in this collaboration, as demonstrated by the poster of this first cycle, we will once again find a musical hit in cycle mode with three fantastic concerts.

Concert of promising women of the Blues

In tune with the cycle of Blues women, we are launching on this occasion, taking advantage of the cycle, the concert meeting that will involve a sample of 3 of the female singers or instrumentalists of the genre.

Lucia Santiago

Passionate about music, and influenced by the voices of the greatest artists such as Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald or Amy Winehouse and such daring bets as John Coltrane, Dexter Gordon...

There are already many stages and concert halls where she has brought her overwhelming voice and staging.

Lusi Vaquero

Guitar, voice and piano.

Born in Madrid, her passion for music made her interested in singing, guitar and piano from a very young age, influenced by African-American music from the second half of the 20th century that took her from Soul, Blues and Rock to more classic.

Bel Mur

Singer from Madrid who began in the world of music at the age of 11, when she began studying guitar, and received singing classes from the age of 15. During her studies in Performing Arts at CEV, her interest in blues aroused, leading her to explore this genre. . Since 2022, Bel ella has been performing more frequently on stages in Madrid

Raspa García Trio

Although they were old acquaintances on the Madrid circuit, it was not until a little less than a year ago that they formed themselves as a band: thus, sponsored by the magic provided by the piano trio, Jorge "Raspa" García, Francisco López "Loque" and Antonio Álvarez " Pax" have managed to successfully walk between the fine line between blues and jazz without being artificial or imposed.

It is in the new album Raspa García Trío-Standards Session (Live at Brazil), edited by Gaztelupeko Hotsak, where you can see the crystallization of this particular style, with fresh arrangements and a concept that is both traditional and avant-garde that coexists with old standards. of blues with the language of jazz...or vice versa, it doesn't matter.

Maybe too "bluesy" for the "jazzers", or maybe too "jazzy" for the "blusers"... but what is certain is that it leaves no one indifferent.

Labels aside, a quality project where, above all, respect and homage are paid to the only thing that matters: good music.

Raspa García, piano
Francisco López “Loque”. double bass
Antonio Álvarez “Pax”, drums

The Suitecase Brothers

As the highlight of the cycle, they arrive directly from Barcelona with their new work by The Suitcase Brothers, the band made up of brothers Santos and Víctor Puertas, present their new album in Madrid. The blues duo has just released an album titled Love, Truth and Confidence »A tribute to Piedmont Blues Legends Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee» that leaves no doubt from its title.

A tribute to two great legends of the genre in which they have been accompanied by excellent names such as Blas Picón, Myriam Swanson, Abdel bebop, Nil Mujal, Samuel Marthe or Marc Tena. The mastering was carried out by Nathan James, who has worked, among others, with John Mayer, Anushka Shankar, Langhorne Slim, Sting and the Joe Jackson Band.
