Color. 130' A man in his seventies leaves his home to undergo a heart transplant and, after the operation, search for a son fathered long ago in Tahiti. "I thought of making L'Intrus in two parts, like a heart with two valves, and the world with two hemispheres. Just as in a transplant there must be a donor and a recipient.
He wanted to transplant me into this other world, that South that he only knew through the books of Stevenson and Herman Melville. A text by Deleuze in L’Ile déserte helped me: he writes that we, the people of the North, believe that in the South there is yet another place.
It is the last possible trip, the last hypothesis of a paradise. But when one considers going, it is no longer a journey, but a drift». (Claire Dennis)
