Casa de México presents one of its consolidated academic programs, this time it is an appreciation and history of opera course. The complete course consists of three individual modules, attendees can enroll in a single module or as many as they wish. Download the complete program here. Full course date: from September 20, 2021 to June 27, 2022. A first presentation session will be held on September 20 at 5:00 p.m. at a cost of €5. Those who attend this session and enroll in the course will be discounted the price of the presentation session (€5). . December 13 and 20. January 10 and 17, 2022. second module Opera and literature from January 24, 2022 to March 28, 2022. Price: €285. Sessions: January 24 and 31. February 7, 14, 21 and 28. March 7, 14, 21 and 28. April 4. Third module Opera and history from April 11, 2022 to June 27, 2022. Price: €285. Sessions: April 11, 18 and 25. May 9, 16, 23 and 30. June 6, 13, 20 and 27.

Laughter at the Opera It is the first of the three modules of the opera history cycle that Casa de México is offering over the next few months and that will also cover Opera and Literature, and Opera and History. Led by the director Víctor Manuel Dogar, we will take a tour of the evolution of opera within its historical context, focusing on its comic side. We will be able to appreciate, through the selection of audiovisual examples, the greatness of this genre, while we unravel the secrets that hide its scripts, its music and its staging.

. • The capacity allowed for each of the rooms and public spaces has been reduced.

• The use of a mask is essential to access Casa de México in Spain and throughout the stay inside.

• Each participant registered in an activity must show their ticket to the access control staff, avoiding contact.

• The use of lifts is restricted to visitors with reduced mobility and pushchairs, with limited capacity inside. Please use the stairs.

• Limited capacity in services to keep distance. Wash your hands with soap and water after use.

• Respect the direction of the entrance and exit circuits, as well as the capacity established for certain spaces inside.

• The recommendations of the staff must always be followed, as well as the messages on the billboards. Recommendations for the visit:

• Make sure of the state of health before making the visit.

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, as well as contact with surfaces, furniture, and objects.

• We have established a hygiene and disinfection protocol based on the established regulations.

• Casa de México in Spain has hydroalcoholic gels available, we recommend their use.
