VORTEX 2023

CentroCentro and ELAMOR present Exchange of Possibilities in Dance, a cycle of workshops associated with the site-specific dance performances of Vórtex-CentroCentro 2023. The objective of the cycle is to weave and select discourses and strategies for work and research with related mixed and liquid languages with dance and performance. Students may enroll in each workshop or the full cycle.

Participatory workshop in which La Basal shares various concerns resulting from creative processes and previous pieces. The collective, as a formation in continuous artistic and investigative movement, is committed to creating answers to the questions of these processes, all from the group and what it entails as a predominant way of working. Despite being a team of independent creators, together they create a discourse and a perspective regarding contemporary creation that focuses on the development of work spaces in which affection and care are always present and on supporting emerging work. with the aim of weaving networks and collectivization and listening, as they propose for this workshop. A group of young creators who provide support and create a network for different artistic projects whose core work lies in the need to shake up La Base, using their bodies and their movement as the main tool. Within the different productions they have carried out, they delve into issues that move them as women, young people and artists, such as identity, tradition, historical memory, gender, the transience of time or instability.

artists and creators with and without experience in working with the body, as well as people interested in art and creation in general.

Registration form La Basal was built in 2019 as a platform for creation and innovation, in which choreographic work is essential to develop and generate a collective discourse. Within the different productions that it carries out, it delves into issues that move them as women, young people and artists, such as identity, tradition, historical memory, gender, the transience of time or instability. Since its inception they have traveled to different festivals and theaters on the Spanish scene such as the Cádiz en Danza Festival, Ahora Danza (Cicus, Seville), Huellas (Aracena, Huelva), 10Sentidos Festival (Valencia), SóloDos en Danza (Ourense), Sala Orive ( Córdoba), Pla Roig (Barcelona), Teatro Pradillo (Madrid), among others. Its main work is the creation and promotion of artistic content, as well as mediation and training work between and with different groups, and collaborative work with other cultural entities from various artistic disciplines.
