La Barbarie Teatro Musical presents its production "Les Miserables".

It is a version of the musical by Claude-Michel Schönberg, adapted from the homonymous novel by Victor Hugo. The representation is aimed at all audiences. A timeless story, whose values ​​endure over time.

The themes dealt with in the novel are still valid and very close to the current public: the struggle for freedom, passion, romanticism or the people's revolution. The complete work lasts approximately 150 minutes.

"Les Miserables" has been taken to the theater and to the cinema; it is undoubtedly one of the most acclaimed musicals of all time. We go back to 19th century France to immerse ourselves in a series of stories full of honor, passion, heartbreak and freedom. Jean Valjean, a man who is forced to steal to feed his nephew, is jailed.

After twenty years, he receives parole and begins a new life, although he will be persecuted relentlessly by Inspector Javert. We will also see Fantine, a seamstress who ends up prostitution for the sole purpose of taking care of her daughter Cossette. She is living in the inn of the Thénardiers, a couple of thieves who do not understand any other way of living than stealing and cheating.

Not far away, the barricades and the flags of France rise, symbols of the Revolution of a people ready to fight for their freedom. This rebellion is led by Enjolras accompanied by his friend Marius, a boy who must decide whether to join the Revolution or give his eternal love to an adult Cossette. This will cause Éponine, daughter of the Thénardiers and Marius's best friend, to suffer intensely from heartbreak.
