SABS invites you to experience barbershop: SEVILLA STYLE! This year's Harmony College event will take place Friday, September 22 (from 18:00) until Sunday, September 24 (at 13:00) at the beautiful Hotel Sevilla Macarena (Calle San Juan de Ribera, 2, 41009 Sevilla).

Renowned educator, director, coach, arranger and BHS Music Judge, Dr. Jay Dougherty, will share his wisdom on topics ranging from identifying overtones to becoming the most improved quartet (or chorus!)

HC Sevilla is pleased to welcome Tom Gentry to our weekend of barbershop education! Tom brings a decades of experience in singing, judging, coaching and educating barbershoppers the world over. Tom will be offering classes on arranging, performance and more!

Joining Tom and Jay in sharing their barbershop knowledge will be SABS own 4GAMI quartet. In addition to leading sectionals and sharing some secrets to their success, 4GAMI will perform in the Saturday Night Show.

And, this year's Harmony College would not be complete without a new, 4-part, mixed voice, Jay Dougherty arrangement of Stephen Sanchez's "Until I Found You," for our College Song. During our opening night activites, we will also be singing "Cielito Lindo," an arrangement commissioned especially for SABS' Barbershop Guide and Songbook for Music Educators. All learning materials will be available in links to attendees.

New this year is an added workshop exclusively designed for SABS members. An extra ticket will allow you to experience the introduction of SABS' Coaching Certification Program and Jay will instruct participants in the art of coaching two volunteer quartets. These activities will begin on Friday morning at 10:00, so please organize your trip to Sevilla accordingly!

El reconocido educador, director, coach, arreglista y juez musical de BHS, Dr. Jay Dougherty, compartirá su sabiduría en temas que van desde identificar armónicos hasta convertirse en el cuarteto (¡o coro!) más mejorado.

Uniéndose a Jay para compartir su conocimiento de barbershop estará el cuarteto 4GAMI. Además de liderar ensayos de cuerda y compartir algunos secretos de su éxito, disfrutaremos de su actuación especial en el Saturday Night Show.

Y, el Harmony College de este año no estaría completo sin un nuevo arreglo de Jay Dougherty de nuestra canción del HC, "Until I Found You" de Stephen Sanchez. Durante nuestras actividades de la noche de apertura, también cantaremos "Cielito Lindo", un arreglo encargado especialmente para la Guía y Libro de Canciones Barbershop para Educadores Musicales de SABS. Todo el material didáctico estará disponible en enlaces para los asistentes.

La novedad de este año es un taller adicional diseñado exclusivamente para miembros de SABS. Un ticket extra le permitirá experimentar la presentación del Nuevo Programa de Certificación de Coaching de SABS y Jay instruirá a los participantes en el arte de coaching a dos cuartetos voluntarios. Estas clases empezarán a las 10:00 el viernes para ayudarte a planificar el viaje a Sevilla.
