Film "Setareh's Husband"

Description

Setareh's Husband

*The Husband* is a direct indictment of the structural violence faced by many women in Iran. The film addresses issues such as gender-based violence, acid attacks intended to disfigure victims, and everyday prohibitions—such as bans on singing or attending soccer matches—that restrict women's freedom. Through the story of its protagonist, the film exposes institutional oppression and the struggle for dignity within a deeply unequal environment.
