Barcelona's IndiFest - Indigenous Film Festival celebrates its sixteenth edition, dedicated to the climate crisis. With the screening of La Pantalla Andina, a film that is an ode to cinema, and two short films created by the community, the IndiFest inaugurates the activities of this edition.
Silvina Velázquez, teacher and director of a school in the Andes of northwestern Argentina, accompanies a traveling film crew to bring films to the school in Yaquispampa, the most isolated in the province of Jujuy, for the first time, making a a twenty-hour journey on foot that reaches 4,200 meters of altitude.
They walk with one certainty: "Cinema is another journey that transforms us as a society."
