J.I.D – God Does Like World Tours

Mon, Mar 30, 2026, 8:30 PM

Razzmatazz Room 1, Barcelona

American rapper J.I.D will perform live on March 29th of next year in Madrid (La Riviera) and the following day, March 30th, in Barcelona (Razzmatazz 1). On these two dates (which are a co-production between Houston Party and Polar), he will present his new album, "God Does Like Ugly," released on August 8th, and will feature his compatriot Mick Jenkins as the opening act.

Born and raised in East Atlanta, three-time Grammy nominee J.I.D grew up with his parents' collection of classic funk and soul LPs before exploding onto the hip hop scene with his 2015 EP, "DiCaprio." On this EP, he collaborated with the duo EarthGang, with whom he had previously toured in 2014. It was there that he was discovered by J. Cole, who promptly signed him to his label, Dreamville/Interscope Records. Shortly after, J.I.D debuted with the major label with the critically acclaimed album “The Never Story” (2017), quickly followed by “DiCaprio 2” (2018). The latter project garnered significant press attention, earning him a spot on that year’s “XXL Freshman Class” list of emerging talents.

J.I.D further cemented his status as a compelling rap talent with standout performances on Dreamville’s platinum-certified compilation “Revenge of the Dreamers III” (2019), which reached #1 on the Billboard charts, and earned Grammy nominations for “Best Rap Album” and “Best Rap Performance.” His growing popularity led him to collaborate with Imagine Dragons on the song "Enemy" for the Netflix series "Arcane," which has accumulated nearly two billion streams to date, four RIAA platinum albums, and nominations for the MTV Music Awards, the AMAs, and the iHeart Awards.

In 2022, J.I.D released "The Forever Story," an album so critically acclaimed that it was even hailed as a classic by Clash Magazine and appeared on numerous year-end lists. The album peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 200 and earned RIAA gold certification. Additionally, his single "Surround Sound," featuring 21 Savage and Baby Tate, became a viral sensation with its "Ceiling" TikTok challenge, entering the Billboard Hot 100, topping the Billboard Viral 50 and TikTok charts, and achieving triple RIAA platinum certification.

With his skillful rapping and songwriting ingenuity, J.I.D has also caught the attention of many other musicians, including (in addition to the aforementioned Imagine Dragons) Doja Cat, Offset, Dua Lipa, and Freddie Gibbs.

Finally, following the cumulative success of all the aforementioned projects, J.I.D announced earlier this year, with the release of the advance single "WRK," the release of his fourth studio album, "God Does Like Ugly," which was released on August 8th. Before releasing the LP, he released a four-track introductory EP in early July, titled "GDLU (Preluxe)," to whet the appetites of his fans. The four tracks included "Animals" with Eminem and "Knew Better" with Lil Yatchy. Meanwhile, "God Does Like Ugly" features collaborations as special as those with Clipse, Ciara, Ty Dolla $ign, Vince Staples, Jessie Reyez, and Westside Gunna, among others, helping J.I.D shape a rich and diverse soundscape. This album has instantly become one of the key hip-hop releases of 2025 (and is set to be presented live in style, as his performances at festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Bonnaroo have already demonstrated). It will be released in Madrid and Barcelona at the end of March 2026.
