The SWIMDIABETIS event consists of an open sea swim. The proceeds will go towards research into type 1 diabetes. About this event The Barcelona delegation of the DiabetesCERO Foundation is organizing the SWIMDIABETES event on 29 May 2022 together with Espaimar from the Badalona Swimming Club. It will be the second non-competitive solidarity swim and will take place in the city of Badalona.
The SWIMDIABETES event consists of an open sea swim, which will start at ESPAI MAR up to the famous Pont del Petroli and back. It is a Solidarity Mile (approximately 1.5 km). This year, as a novelty, we are adding participation to children who want to take part. In the SWIMDIABETES KIDS (they will swim 250 m) The first 200 entrants will be presented with a swimming cap from the prestigious Turbo brand and a bag with gifts from our sponsors. All participants will have access to water, fruit, juices and energy bars. You can also purchase tickets for a solidarity raffle in which there will be many surprises that we will be announcing. Timing: 9.00 am Collection of participating credentials. 10.00 am Start of the crossing, climbing in groups towards the Pont del Petroli. 11.30 am Provisioning. 12.00 Foundation presentation and stand visit. 1.30 pm Acknowledgments and closing of the event.
