Description
During the twelfth and twelfth centuries the minstrels were in charge of interpreting the works written by the troubadours. They toured the various courts, squares and palaces of the kingdoms to sing the verses of the most acclaimed epic and lyrical compositions of their times. In 2022 we commemorate 120 years since the death of Jacinto Verdaguer and Arnau Tordera I has decided to revive this format in our days to honor the event. If Verdaguer – the pinnacle of Catalan poetry and language – is the troubadour, he will be the minstrel who spreads his verses, immersing himself in his most austere, intimate and genuine project. With the only accompaniment of voice and classical guitar, he will perform the entire work ''Verdaguer, ombres i maduixes'' that OBESAS published in 2017. An absolute turn of the score with a new complete arrangement that will seek the essence of the encounter between music and poetry. All the pieces of the work, all the characters and all Verdaguer's verses will be conjugated in the song of the Minstrel who will rescue from oblivion this archaic and precious way of telling stories.
