Information
Description
From February 15 to October 19, 2025, the exhibition "Out of Frame. Works by Rineke Dijkstra and Philippe Parreno" presents a dialogue between the work of German artist Rineke Dijkstra and that of French artist Philippe Parreno. Through the language of cinema and video installation, both artists propose a reflection on the figure of the spectator and the appreciation of works of art. In this visit-workshop, we will reflect, experiment, and play based on the idea of the "public" in relation to the work of art and the cultural institution. Through different dynamics that activate the body, the gaze, and the spoken word, we will discover that we are not simply passive observers, but that our role as audiences is fundamental to complementing and enriching the meaning of the works.
For the occasion, a specific participatory mechanism has been created with various materials and associated dynamics. It will be compiled based on contributions from visiting groups of all ages and will also be accessible to the general public who visit the exhibition independently. In this way, we contribute to highlighting the role of the public and dignifying their participation by making it open to everyone else.
This activity is recommended for families with children ages 7 and up.
