A monologue about the influence of Víctor Català's novel on Roberto Rossellini's film

This assembly, halfway between a master class and an intimate conference, discovers the great secret of Catalan literature and European cinema: based on the thesis of the literary critic Rosa Delor, the aim is to demonstrate that the filmmaker Roberto Rossellini inspired and based on the novel Solitud by Víctor Català to make the screenplay for the film Stromboli. A masterful lesson that not only takes us into the parallel universes of the two works, but also invites us to reflect on literary creation, authorship, plagiarism, comparative literature, abuse of power, cinema, feminism and alterity.

Through the text by Núria Casado Gual, and under the direction of Imma Colomer, the actress Fina Rius embodies a lecturer who bares her soul in front of the public to give a voice to women who are invisible in the world of art. After the work, there will be a discussion with Imma Colomer and Fina Rius.
