The famous and mythical English producer Alan Parsons arrives in Madrid on July 19, where he will perform with his band at La Rivera.
Parsons started out in the music world when he was young as a guitarist for blues bands, but it wasn't until he got a job as a sound engineer at age 19 at the famous Abbey Road Studios that his career began.
Today he is known worldwide for participating in memorable albums such as the last two of the Beatles, Abbey Road (1969) and Let It Be (1970), going on to work later for Paul McCartney among many other artists. But it was with Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon (1973) that he made the big leap, which led him to work as a producer for John Miles, Al Stewart or Steve Harley.
In 1975 he decided to launch his personal project, The Alan Parsons Project, together with Eric Woolfson, with which he released 11 studio albums: Tales of Mystery and Imagination (1976), Pyramid (1978), Ammonia Avenue (1984), Stereomoty ( 1986) or Gaudi (1987). After a small foray into musical theater in 1990, The Alan Parsons Project split up, thus beginning his solo career, although he has not always been alone. He started with the members of his old project, and as time has passed the band has been changing and rearranging, which has led him to record five studio albums to this day: Thy Anything Once (1993), On Air (1996), The Time Machine (1999), A Valid Path (2004) and the most recent The Secret (2019). In addition, Parsons has produced an educational series on sound recording, released a companion book to this series, and tours the world performing, as well as collaborating with many other artists.
