Mocchi is a trans singer-songwriter born in Uruguay in 1990. He has released four studio albums (La Velocidad del Paisaje, Mañana será otro disco, 1990, and La Certeza del Dolor).
He was responsible for the music for La Uruguaya (Hernán Casciari, Ana Blaya) and "Nociones básica" (Basic Notions) by the National Comedy group. He has collaborated with artists such as Fernando Cabrera, Chico Cesar, Hugo Fattoruso, Susy Shock, Christian Cary, Pedro Pastor, El Plan de la Mariposa, El Kuelgue, Papina de Palma, Maca Mona Mu, Adrián Berra, Julieta Laso, La Triple Nelson, among others.
He is currently presenting his fifth album, titled The Cold That Summons Us.
THE COLD THAT Summons Us
This work is a handful of songs influenced by the current Latin American situation, love pierced by this, and hatred as well. It is as visceral as it is hopeful, and is perhaps Mocchi's first hopeful album.
When someone mentions Mocchi, if they don't know him, they'll recognize him from somewhere. His life is a collection of anecdotes that led him to dedicate himself to music almost unintentionally.
His unique way of managing his life and his prolific work have led him to manage social projects and cultural centers, to be a filmmaker, composer, actor, and office worker, to sell out major venues in his country (Teatro Solís, Sala del Museo, Teatro El Galpón) and the region (La Trastienda, Konex), and to tour Brazil, Mexico, Spain, the United States, Chile, and Argentina.
Between travels and sensitive exchanges through music, he has built a musical and personal identity that defines a powerful way of working and creating songs: he is genuine.
