The Groove Family (Soul Funk) The Groove Family is a soul/funk band based in Madrid and founded in 2015. Their powerful and catchy grooves are the result of the influence of artists and bands such as James Brown, Dr. John, The Meters or The Poets Of Rhythm. The band has taken their overwhelming live show to different festivals, such as "Jazzaherrean" (Vitoria 2016) or "Enclave de Agua" (Soria, 2021 and 2022), among others, as well as to different stages in the national territory. The band is made up of musicians who have collaborated or are part of such renowned bands as The Sweet Vandals, Anaut, or Soul Vigilantes, among others. Jay Rivera, vocals, Carlos Calvo, guitar, Miquel Ferrer, drums, Francis García, bass and Gabri Casanova, hammond. On this occasion they will be presenting material from their first LP, “Rought Shine”. With two singles released for the SWEET RECORDS label, his work has been played on several occasions in specialized programs such as “Sonideros” on Radio 3 or the “Funk & Soul Show” on the BBC in London, hosted by Craig Charles, arousing very good reviews. from the British presenter and producer.
