The Filmoteca offers from November to January a complete retrospective of the Dutch director Paul Verhoeven, on everyone's lips after the premiere of the controversial Benedetta and signatory of Robocop, Elle, The Black Book, Showgirls, Total Challenge, The Space Brigades, Basic Instinct o Turkish delight. The cinema of Verhoeven, probably one of the contemporary filmmakers who has best reconciled his personal interests with the will of the industry, is an explosion of sex and violence, always presented from a humor as ironic as it is unexpected and with an absolute disregard for "good manners" and social taboos.
